KOxDIS®: Targeting relief for Couperosis and Rosacea

Couperosis and rosacea are two common skin conditions that affect millions of people worldwide, often causing discomfort and impacting self-confidence. Understanding them and exploring effective skincare solutions can make a significant difference in managing their symptoms and improving overall well-being.

Both chronic skin conditions are characterized by redness, visible blood vessels, and in some cases, acne-like bumps. While they share similar symptoms, they have distinct differences:

COUPEROSIS: also known as telangiectasia, couperosis refers to the dilation of tiny blood vessels near the surface of the skin. This often results in red or purple patches, typically on the face, particularly the cheeks and nose.

ROSACEA: a more complex condition characterized by redness, visible blood vessels, and sometimes small, red bumps. It often affects the central part of the face, including the cheeks, nose, chin, and forehead. Rosacea can also cause symptoms like burning or stinging sensations, swelling, and thickened skin.

Fortunately, advancements in skincare and cosmetics offer relief for those struggling with couperosis and rosacea. One such solution is vitamin K1 oxide.

KOxDIS®, our vitamin K1 oxidized form (INCI name: Phytonadione Epoxide), has been developed to be used for treating purpura and hyperpigmentation in cosmetics. It avoids blood extravasation giving it a high decongestive capacity as well as a high capacity to reduce erythema and facial redness.

KOxDIS® benefits at a glance:

  1. Reduces erythema and skin flushing
  2. Accelerates the reabsorption of blood extravasation
  3. High decongestive properties
  4. Improves skin tone

An In Vivo study proves KOxDIS® efficacy in treating such skin conditions, with positive results in the evaluation of flushing, burning sensations or tightness, and telangiectasia:

  • Objective: evaluate the efficacy reducing symptoms of rosacea and cuperosis.
  • Volunteers: 20 volunteers with cuperosis or rosacea.
  • Study duration: 56 days.
  • Application: Apply a cream containing 1% of KOxDIS® to the face twice a day.
